Quincy has been teaching dance for 25 years in Indiana, Ohio and now South Carolina. She has been classically trained in ballet in her hometown in Indiana and at the Indianapolis Ballet Theater and received her BA in Education and Dance (with a focus on modern and contemporary) from Indiana State University and MA in Arts Education Curriculum. Quincy is a South Carolina certified educator in English, Dance, Theatre, Journalism, and Communications and has been teaching high school and middle school for 20 years. She currently teachers Theatre for Anderson School District 5. In addition to her teaching experience, she is an accomplished director and choreographer, having done numerous theater shows at the middle school, high school, college and community levels. Her areas of expertise include ballet, pointe, contemporary, modern, musical theatre and dance competition technique and conditioning.

 

Jakeia Stribling

Jakeia is an Anderson native who has been involved in the local dance industry since the age of seven, when she discovered her passion for performing. She has been dancing and teaching for 23 years. Jakeia has studied dance with leading industry choreographers such as Kathryn McCormick, Tyce Diorio and Talia Favia, and attended dance conventions such as DMI DanceMakers, Inc., Radix and New York City Dance Alliance. Jakeia has also choreographed the Miss TL Hanna Pageant for TL Hanna High School. In addition to her dance, she holds a degree in business administration and is currently an assistant manager for American Eagle. Her areas of expertise are hip hop and jazz, lyrical and tap, as well as providing choreography for competition dance. Many of her choreography pieces have won numerous awards on the national competition dance circuit.

 
 

Kaitlyn Scarborough (Instructor)

Kaitlyn is thrilled to be teaching preschool classes at ECDA. She is a freshman in college at Tri-County Technical College majoring in nursing. She has danced for 16 years, with a focus in jazz, lyrical and ballet, and has assisted and taught preschool classes for the last three years. She has competed in multiple dance competitions in lyrical and jazz and studied with professionals throughout the southeast, including Kathryn McCormick, Tommy Alexander, Tyce Diorio and Talia Favia. In 2021 she had the honor of being chosen to attend DanceMakers, Inc. Nationals Competition and Convention in Myrtle Beach, SC.


Amy Heintz (Pre Dance and Tap)

Amy Heintz comes to ECDA with 40 years of experience in dance and 20 years of teaching experience. She toured with Hoctor's Dance Caravan and trained and performed with two-time Tony Award winner Thommie Walsh. Throughout her dance career she has performed in Las Vegas, Disney World, New York City and Disneyland, in addition to doing choreography for numerous musical theatre productions. She has trained under such well-known choreographers as Joe Tremaine, Mia Michels, Tyce Di'Orio and Julian Harper Brown. 


Kaitlyn Terzian (Hip Hop, Jazz and Lyrical)

Kaitlyn's dance training began 12 years ago after training for four years of gymnastics. In addition, she has worked for several years as an assistant dance teacher. Her specialties include hip hop,lyrical and jazz, which she will be teaching for ECDA this year.  She has attended multiple national dance conventions and worked with professional choreographers such as Talia Favia and Phil Wright.


Rebecca Guara (Jazz, Lyrical and Musical Theatre)

Rebecca Gaura is a senior studying Special Education and Dance at Anderson University. She is from Irmo, SC, where she grew up performing for community events, participating in conventions and masterclasses, and competing through both her local dance studio and her high school’s dance team. During this time, she has had the opportunity to assist and lead dance classes and summer camps, as well as earn membership status in the National Honors Society for Dance Arts through involvement in backstage management and choreography contributions to showcased pieces.


Camryn Hunter (Contemporary and Ballet)

Camryn Hunter grew up in Indian Land, South Carolina. She is a junior at Anderson University working towards her Bachelor of Arts in Dance. Camryn fell in love with dancing at the age of five and has been dedicated to the art form ever since. Over the years, she has expanded her dance knowledge and technique across many styles including ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, contemporary, tap, hip-hop, lyrical, and character dance. She has trained at various studios such as New Attitude Performing Arts Center, York County Ballet, and Charlotte Ballet Academy in addition to attending summer intensives at the Harid Conservatory, the University of South Carolina Dance Program, Charlotte Ballet, and more.


Cindy Hart (Business Manager)

Cindy Hart was born and raised in Anderson, SC. In addition to running ECDA’s front desk, she has worked at Kravet, Inc for 25 years and is a proud 10-year dance mom.
